The Waffle Show

Join West Country creatives (and self-proclaimed wafflers) writer Louisa Adjoa Parker and musician Gary Pickard as we get together for a good old waffle over coffee. Each weekly episode we dive deep into real-talk, no-holds-barred conversation as we discuss the challenges of being freelance creatives, whilst sharing inspirational, sad and funny stories from our lives. Sometimes we have guests to waffle with! Sometimes we get over-excited and interrupt each other (especially Louisa). The Waffle Show is unscripted, unpolished and unfiltered, and you'll gain genuine insights about what a creative's life can be like as well as hearing about challenges we've overcome. Grab a coffee, run a bath, or do what you do when listening to podcasts. We hope you enjoy - please consider rating, reviewing, following or sharing this podcast with others if you do. Thank you so much for listening!

Welcome to episode six of The Waffle Show, with West Country creatives (and self-proclaimed wafflers) writer Louisa Adjoa Parker and musician Gary Pickard. In this ep we chat to our very first guest, the incredible Leonie Prater! We discuss how the three of us met; hear about Leonie’s journey as a singer-songwriter and lead singer of Leonian Dream; and imagine Gary twerking on a dance floor.

Welcome to episode five of The Waffle Show, with West Country creatives (and self-proclaimed wafflers) writer Louisa Adjoa Parker and musician Gary Pickard. In this ep we continue to share stories from our lives but it's a tough one, and a little different to other eps. In part 1 Gary tells the story of living in a haunted flat for over a decade, and in part 2 we discuss what it’s really like to lose a parent. (If you've recently lost someone, it might be a good idea to skip this ep and listen another time).
